Abstract

The study focused on the difficulties faced by social work students during field training in educational institutions, and the extent of the disparity between the theoretical and field aspects, the role assigned to the academic supervisor and the supervisor of the educational institution and their dedication to guidance and follow-up. The study sample was represented in the field training students specializing in social service, the fourth year of the faculties of the University of Sabrath, which are 40 students; The social survey curriculum was adopted using the questionnaire; It concluded in its results that there is a need to improve academic programs and increase focus on practical and applied aspects, in addition to enhancing the role of academic supervisors and providing them with sufficient time to supervise students; enhancing cooperation and coordination between educational institutions and academic supervisors, and providing awareness about the importance of service within these institutions, it recommended reconsidering the academic programs of social work students, increasing the focus on practical and applied aspects, providing more workshops and specialized courses, allocating enough time for academic supervisors to supervise students, and reducing the number of students for each supervisor.
