Abstract

intelligence, which reflects an important and tangible development in the way of human thinking. The idea of neural networks revolves around simulating the human mind using a computer, and the foreseeable development in this field may be due to many studies that have been conducted in the field of neural processing. The simulation is carried out by solving the problem facing it, by following self-learning processes that depend on the experiences stored in the network that achieve the best results. In line with the scientific trend to solve the problem of selection in hockey in the State of Libya due to the difficulty of obtaining large numbers of young people to apply tests to, The researcher saw that the method of artificial neural networks technology is capable of solving this problem, as it is possible through it to develop a battery of physical tests and set its own standards through application to small numbers that cannot be treated statistically with the same efficiency using previous methods. The study aimed to identify the specific physical determinants for selecting hockey players under the age of 14. The descriptive approach was used using the survey method on a sample of 57 juniors to apply tests to determine the important physical abilities in selecting and selecting hockey players (strength endurance - strength characterized by speed - agility - motor response - accuracy - transitional speed - balance - endurance - ability). Over two days at the Al-Nasr Club in Benghazi
