A vision for performance evaluation in Premier League football clubs from the perspective of faculty members

Abstract

The world is in a frantic race to acquire the most accurate and productive knowledge possible, ensuring access to the highest possible sporting levels and ensuring excellence. Countries have realized the importance of evaluative thinking and the significant role it plays in progress Developing the elements of sporting excellence in football requires developing its structures, systems, and methodologies to keep pace with the constant and rapid change in this vital field, and evaluating the performance of individuals and sports institutions using precise standards that emphasize achieving advanced accomplishments based on efficiency and effectiveness.

The research aimed to develop indicators to evaluate the performance of Premier League football clubs. The research targeted a group of academics as a sample of experts. (7) axes and (57) phrases were designed, which were distributed to all academic experts. All axes were unanimously approved, with some phrases being deleted from some of them. The researchers used the descriptive method to collect After obtaining the necessary data, and adjusting it according to the sample's opinions, the researchers developed a list that can be relied upon to evaluate the performance of Premier League football clubs, totaling (1,000) points. The researchers recommended applying the proposed model to Premier League clubs and conducting a study to establish a timeframe for the evaluation.
