Abstract

Regional planning has become an important branch of geography that is concerned with studying spatial differences and regional disparities in all their forms, ways to overcome them, and how regional balance is achieved between the regions of the state and its parts, through multiple research methods and approaches, which has made it one of the branches of applied geography that Through it, solutions to problems are developed and many issues facing humans are addressed, especially those related to planning in the areas of development and exploitation of human resources and sources of natural wealth. Creating a kind of balance between geographical regions is one of the fundamentals of planning objectives, such as creating work opportunities to reduce migration outside the region, by creating New development projects create job opportunities that did not exist before. These projects absorb the workforce that suffers from unemployment, meaning that regional planning works to crystallize goals that the comprehensive regional development plan seeks to implement.
