Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in the economies of countries, and is given a prominent and high position by governments to develop it, contribute to economic development, and improve the economic structure.

The research aimed to identify tourism marketing and its role in promoting domestic tourism, and to demonstrate the impact of tourism marketing on domestic tourism. The researcher used the descriptive approach as well as the analytical approach. The research was conducted by (140) individual tourists. The research concluded with several results, the most prominent of which is that tourism marketing provides sufficient information. Regarding tourist sites, it also improves the quality of services provided at the tourist site, and focuses on the needs and desires of current and future tourists and striving to achieve them. I recommend the necessity of providing sufficient information on tourist sites within the country, paying attention to the restoration of antiquities and archaeological sites, and developing the infrastructure in Libyan cities and regions.
