The position of the Libyan House of Representatives on the economic policy of the Muhyiddin Fekini government (1963-1964(

Abstract

The political struggle of the Libyan people was culminated in their declaration of independence on December 24, 1951. It began to look forward promoting the development of the country, so the representative of the country headed to monitor the work of the executive authority by directing oral questions to the government, interrogation and withdrawal of confidence.

Despite this, the House of Representatives was not spared from the interference of the executive authority. That is why the first and second sessions were dominated by those who were loyal to the government, but the third session of the Council was characterized by integrity and the success of a number of representatives who were not affiliated with the government. This is an evident from this study, which dealt with the position of the representatives on the economic policy of Muhyiddin Fekini government from 1963 to 1964, which was approved by the representatives and the people. This study answered a number of hypotheses using the descriptive and analytical approach, relying on a number of sources. The main subject of this study was the proceedings of the House of Representatives in which this government was able to achieve the unity of the country and responded to the demands of the representatives by presenting legislation that preserves the country’s wealth and contributes to its development and the advancement of its economy.
