The Reality 0f Poultry Farming and Production In The Ajilat Area and Its Problems

Abstract

Poultry farming and production are of great importance to the population, because they are pillars of agricultural production and the national economy. Poultry meat and eggs are a staple food for most people in the world. Poultry waste is also an important fertilizer for agricultural land, through which production is improved, and thus self-sufficiency is achieved. On the other hand, it provides job opportunities and improves the level of income. This research aims to show the geographical characteristics and their effects on poultry farming in the region, highlight the nutritional and economic importance of poultry meat and eggs, and identify the obstacles that hinder poultry farming. It concluded that the region has a distinctive geographical location, as it is located in the middle of population centers, which is a market for poultry products, and that the region suffers from high temperatures, which negatively affects poultry. Also, high relative humidity in some months of the year leads to some life diseases. It recommended providing support to barn owners, which is represented by fodder and valleys, and urging barn owners to participate in seminars and training courses.
