Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the role of social media in spreading a culture of peace among primary school students in Sabratha schools.


This study also aimed to identify the most commonly used sites. To achieve these objectives, the researcher conducted a field study on a sample of primary schools in Sabratha. The researcher used a questionnaire as a data collection tool, arriving at a sample of 60 individuals. The study results revealed that most students have a social media account, at 57%. The study also revealed that the most frequently used social media site is Facebook, at 41%, with 25% citing the search for knowledge and to enhance their cultural level. The study also revealed that the majority of students, at 37%, do not wish to join groups.
