Abstract

It can also be viewed as a bridge that connects peoples and civilizations, enhances human and cultural interdependence, and achieves the desired openness to others and to human civilization. Hence, culture played a prominent role in protecting the national identity of the Libyan people with all its components. Through it, they preserved their traditions, cultural heritage, cultural properties, sanctities, values, and behavior.

Libya has inherited from its past a multi-faceted cultural heritage whose diversity and richness is recognized at the global level. This heritage, which is considered a symbol of identity and an essential element for our memory, carrying our shared principles and values and is transmitting to future generations.

The intangible element is presented by customs and cultural heritage, such as folk arts, traditional crafts, folk dance, folk costumes, and the presence of a number of popular dishes that the population continued to pass down from generation to generation. They became among the elements that attract tourists, and many of them will gasp and leave for anything else. Coexist with them and participate in. Their various festivals. This study discusses the issue of the heritage cultural and heritage tourism in Libya and ways to develop and improve it.
