Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to identify the role of school principals in school sports activities from the perspective of physical education teachers in the city of Al-Khums. The researcher used the descriptive survey method due to its suitability for the objectives of the research. The research sample was selected from physical education teachers in Al-Khums, totaling 62 teachers, who were randomly chosen from those who responded to the study instrument.
The main findings indicated that the level of planning for sports activities among school principals was moderately high, reaching 67%, which reflects an acceptable practice of these roles. The results also showed that principals are keen to prepare annual and weekly plans, follow up on the implementation of instructions, and identify the requirements of sports activities, while student participation in planning remains limited. The findings further revealed that the level of sports activity management was high, reaching 77%, which is higher than the level of planning, reflecting the effectiveness of principals in organization, supervision, and motivation.
