The Impact of Information Technology on Improving Administrative Performance: An Applied Study on Employees at Al-Jalil Al-Jadeed Technology Company

This study aimed to identify the impact of information technology on improving administrative performance, reveal the levels of IT application in improving the administrative performance of Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed Technology Company, and understand the importance of the methods used within the company regarding the impact of information technology on improving its performance. It also highlighted the most important connections that would demonstrate the relationship between information technology and administrative performance, and identified the strengths and weaknesses of information technology components in improving administrative performance. The dimensions of information technology included hardware components, software, databases, and networks, while the dimensions of administrative performance included employee satisfaction and the efficiency of production processes. Data was collected using a questionnaire. To achieve the study objectives, a descriptive and analytical approach was chosen. The study reached a set of results that showed that the respondents’ perceptions of the level of information technology were high, as the physical components ranked first, followed by databases, and then computer software came in last place. The company is very aware of the nature of the changes witnessed by information technology in the telecommunications service sector, and it is also interested in developing the programs it uses periodically in a manner that is consistent with the volume of work, which is positively reflected in the level of its performance in terms of quantity and quality. The company has worked to make fundamental changes in the databases, and is keen to use excellent networks to improve its administrative performance, while realizing that the way to raise the administrative level lies in applying distinctive systems, developing information technology, and raising the efficiency of internal operations.
