Author Guidelines
The University of Zawia Rewaq Alhkma Journal (UZRHJ) publishes original, peer-reviewed scholarly research in philosophy and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors are required to carefully adhere to the following guidelines to ensure compliance with the journal’s academic, ethical, and technical standards.
General Submission Requirements

Manuscripts must fall strictly within the scope of the journal and address specialized topics relevant to philosophical studies or closely related interdisciplinary fields.

Submissions must demonstrate scholarly depth, originality, and intellectual contribution, offering new insights, interpretations, or analyses that advance knowledge in the field.

All research must be scientifically documented, supported by accurate references, primary sources, and relevant scholarly literature.

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with international academic research and writing standards, using clear structure, coherent argumentation, and appropriate academic style.

Submissions are accepted in Arabic and English, which are the journal’s official languages of publication.

Each author must formally declare that the manuscript:

Represents original work authored by them;
-
Has not been previously published, in whole or in part;
-
Is not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

Manuscripts accepted for publication may not be published elsewhere without prior written permission from the journal’s editorial office.

All submitted manuscripts become part of the journal’s editorial records and will not be returned, regardless of the publication outcome.
Ethical Standards and Academic Integrity

All submissions must comply fully with international standards of academic integrity and research ethics, in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors bear full legal and ethical responsibility for the originality and accuracy of their work, including any instances of plagiarism, data fabrication, or misrepresentation.

Intellectual property rights must be strictly respected, particularly in the case of translated works, reproduced materials, or adapted content.

Opinions and conclusions expressed in published articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal, its editorial board, or the University of Zawia.
Manuscript Structure and Content
Manuscripts must meet the fundamental requirements of scholarly research and include, where applicable, the following elements:

Research problem and research questions

Objectives and significance of the study

Main body of the paper with appropriate main and subheadings

Each manuscript must include abstracts in both Arabic and English, with each abstract not exceeding 250 words.
Length, Language, and Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be no fewer than 15 pages and no more than 30 pages, corresponding to a word count between 13,000 and 15,000 words.

Manuscripts must be free from linguistic, grammatical, and typographical errors.

Authors must strictly follow the journal’s official formatting and publication template, available on the journal’s website.
Referencing and Citation Style

All references and in-text citations must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style, latest edition.

Authors must ensure:

Consistency between in-text citations and reference list entries;
-
Accurate bibliographic information;
-
Alphabetical ordering of references in the reference list.

Failure to comply with APA standards may result in return of the manuscript for technical revision prior to peer review.
Peer Review and Editorial Decision

All manuscripts submitted to UZRHJ are subject to a double-blind peer-review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

The standard peer-review period ranges from 4 to 8 weeks.

Authors will be formally notified of one of the following editorial decisions:

Acceptance without revision

Acceptance subject to minor or major revisions

Rejection

The sequence of articles published within each issue is determined solely by technical and editorial considerations and is independent of the author’s academic rank or institutional affiliation.
Declaration and Submission Requirements

Authors are required to complete and submit the journal’s official Declaration and Pledge Form, available on the journal’s website.

Submission of a manuscript implies the author’s full agreement with all journal policies and ethical standards.
