Abstract

Objectives:‎‏:‏Man is a product of his environment, and is well ‎influenced by its surroundings, so we decided to take a look at ‎asceticism in the places where it was talked about a lot, Basra, and ‎time was one of the most important boundaries of our research, and ‎we changed the second century AH, these boundaries were the ‎center of the asceticism movement, due to the emergence of a new ‎state, which is the Abbasid state, and the fall of the Umayyad state, ‎which the Abbasids saw as having grown old, and the reins of power ‎were slipping from its grip, opening the door wide open to internal ‎strife and external ambitions, these matters some researchers see as ‎a reason for the spread and emergence of asceticism in Basra ‎without dispute, so our goal was to stand on the validity of all of ‎that
