This research is based on tracking the places of deletion in the verbal sentence in the collection of Antara bin Shaddad al-Absi, and studying it as a grammatical-semantic study, through which the rhetorical purposes intended by the poet by deletion are deduced, and the grammatical and semantic meanings of deletion in the Arabic language are discovered, since deletion does not occur randomly in Arab speech. Rather, it occurred according to the speaker’s purpose and intent, and what the situation required and the situation necessitated, and deletion is one of the symptoms of composition that often occurs in the speech of the Arabs (the Arabs tend towards brevity, and they are more distant from profusion), and it is evidence of their eloquence and good eloquence.
