As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • This manuscript has not been previously published and has not been submitted to any other scientific journal for consideration (or clarification on this matter is available in the comments section submitted to the Editorial Board).
  • The submission file is in one of the following formats:
    OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, WordPerfect.
  • Manuscripts that do not adhere to the guidelines and UZJEST template may be returned to the authors.
  • The corresponding author has to send the ORCID number of each researcher who participated in writing this paper to the journal's email jet@zu.edu.ly.
    It can be obtained from the following website: https://orcid.org
  • Articles should include original research and provide new and valuable information in the fields of engineering and technology.
  • Articles should be based on proper research methodology and demonstrate accurate and logical analysis.
  • Sources and references should be provided correctly, adhering to recognized academic standards.
  • Articles should align with the scope of the journal and cover various areas of engineering and technology.
  • Articles should have scientific value and contribute to progress and innovation in the fields of engineering and technology.
  • Articles should include practical applications and clear contributions to problem-solving and improving engineering processes.
  • Articles should be presented with integrity and high scientific ethics.
  • Articles should be written in a clear and understandable style, following a specific format in accordance with scientific publishing standards.
  • Articles should be written in precise and comprehensible scientific language, avoiding ambiguous language.
  • Articles should undergo a critical review process by independent experts in the relevant field.

Manuscript Preparation

General Formatting

  • Use the official UZJEST manuscript to download English template, Click here and for Arabic template, click here.

Required Sections

  • Title (English and Arabic)
  • Author information (English and Arabic)
  • Abstract (Within 250 or fewer words, both languages)
  • Keywords (3-5 terms, both languages)
  • Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion
  • Conclusion (must include advantages, limitations, applications)
  • References (IEEE style)

Language Requirements

  • Manuscripts may be in English or Arabic
  • Use Grammarly or QuillBot to improve your English writing
  • Translations required for:
    • Title
    • Authors' names and affiliations 
    • Abstract
    • Keywords
  • Text formatting:
    • Please follow the template format

Figures and Tables

Figures 

  • Number consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.), please follow the template 
  • Captions must be below the figure, 10pt Times New Roman
  • Minimum 300 dpi quality
  • Recommended to insert in text boxes

Tables

  • Number consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), please follow the template
  • Captions above the table, 10pt Times New Roman

Peer Review Process

  • Double-blind review system
  • Initial screening (1-2 weeks): The editorial board verifies that the manuscript is appropriate for the journal's scope, conforms to the template, and does not exceed the permitted level of plagiarism. At this stage, it may be returned to the authors for correction if minor changes are needed, or the manuscript may be rejected if it violates any of these requirements.
  • The manuscript is reviewed by two experts, and if they disagree on whether to accept or reject it, a third reviewer is appointed to decide the matter, and the final decision is made by the editorial board (4-6 weeks).
  • Possible review outcomes:
    • Acceptance (with/without minor corrections)
    • Major corrections required, followed by re-evaluation
    • Rejection

All submissions begin here before being assigned to appropriate reviewers.

2. Submission Review

Each submission undergoes rigorous peer review and editorial evaluation.

3. Submission Editing

Selected manuscripts progress through copyediting, layout preparation, and proofreading, culminating in assignment to a specific journal issue.

4. Table of Contents

Finalized content is organized for publication and officially released to our readership.
