Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to the University of Zawia Journal of Sciences and Technology must adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

1. Originality and Plagiarism

  • * Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of others' work must be properly cited.
  • * Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or text recycling without attribution) is unacceptable.

2. Authorship and Contribution

  • * All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and writing process.
  • * Ghost, guest, or honorary authorship (listing individuals who did not contribute) is prohibited.

3. Data Integrity and Reproducibility

  • * Research data must be accurately presented, and authors should retain raw data for potential verification.
  • * Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data constitutes misconduct.

4. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

  • * Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.

5. Peer Review Process

  • * Authors must cooperate fully with the peer review process, responding to reviewers' comments professionally and promptly.
  • * Attempting to influence reviewers or editors unethically is prohibited.

6. Multiple or Concurrent Submissions

  • * Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical.
  • * Authors must wait for a final decision before submitting elsewhere.

7. Correction of Errors

  • * If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal for corrections or retractions.

8. Compliance with Ethical Standards in Research

  • * Research involving human or animal subjects must follow relevant ethical guidelines (e.g., informed consent, institutional review board approval).

Violations of these ethical principles may result in manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, or notification to relevant institutions.
