About the Journal

The University of Zawia Journal of Legal and Sharia Sciences (UZJLSS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published semi-annually by the University of Zawia in Arabic and English. It aims to publish specialized scientific research in the fields of Legal and Sharia Sciences and its branches, including criminal law, private law, international law, and public law.

The journal operates under an ongoing (continuous) publishing model, whereby accepted articles are published online immediately after completing the peer-review, editorial, and production processes. Articles are organized into two issues per volume, corresponding to the periods January–June and July–December, ensuring timely dissemination of research while maintaining a structured issue-based volume system.

UZJLSS is currently published under the supervision of the Scientific Research and Consultancy Center at the University of Zawia and operates through an advanced Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The journal is committed to maintaining rigorous academic and ethical standards through a double-blind peer-review process.
