Abstract

John Dewey is considered one of the most prominent contemporary philosophers who wanted philosophy to apply the scientific method to search for truth, as he investigated the importance of philosophy’s connection with science, and explained the progress achieved by science and its impact on philosophy .

Dewey's thought differed from other contemporary philosophers, as he developed his scientific approach to solving problems, and worked to benefit from science in finding solutions to the problems that society suffers from. He linked philosophy to science and sought to change the approach to philosophy, so he presented many theories that changed a number of Facts that were certain in previous eras.
