The Impact of Illegal Migration on Libyan National Security

Abstract

This research seeks to shed light on illegal immigration and the negative effects resulting from it and its impact on Libyan national security, considering Libya as a transit country. Therefore, legal immigration has taken a dangerous upward trend due to the country suffering from security chaos, which in turn has led to political divisions in the country. And the fragile security situation is under the control of immigration, smuggling and terrorist gangs, and the state of Libya has turned into a violating state, in addition to the depletion of its resources, the destruction of its infrastructure and facilities, the spread of epidemics and diseases, and the spread of cultures that are not compatible with morals or religion. All of this contributed to the disintegration of the social fabric, and its main causes were illegal immigration
