OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO PSYCHOLOGICAL MALADJUSTMENT AMONG THOSE ATTENDING AL-RAZI HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF TRIPOLI.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the relationship between obsessive- compulsive disorder and psychological maladjustment the sample size was 38 males  and females, including 17 males and 21 females, the ages of the sample range from 20 to 60 years and above, from Al-razi Hospital for mental and psychological Diseases, Tripoli .The research tool was the personal interview, the obsessive- compulsive disorder questionnaire, and the adjustment scale prepared by the researcher, Estimated using spearmans correlation coefficient, t-test, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and percentages- the results revealed a relationship between obsessive-compulsive disorder and poor psychological adjustment among sample members of both sexes, with statistically significant gifferences at the 0,05 level in favor of females more than males.
