THE EFFECTIVENESS OF APPLYING TEACHING STRATEGIES AT THE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ABUE SSA FROM THE STUDENTS POINT OF VIEW

Abstract
The research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of applying teaching strategies at the College of Education, Abu essa, from the students’ point of view, in five areas: the area of improving the classroom environment, which is represented by (5) five items, the area of appropriate classroom management, which includes (5) five items, and the area of interaction. The student in the classroom contains (5) five items, the area of raising the level of academic achievement, which consists of (5) five items, and the area of developing the student’s thinking skills, which consists of (5) five items. The descriptive analytical method was used, and the research community consisted of a total of (464) female students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth semesters in all scientific Departments. Those who actually conducted the study during the fall semester 2023-2024, and the size of the sample members reached (250) individuals, and a questionnaire was constructed that in its final form consisted of (25) twenty-five items, and the validity of the content of the tool and its suitability to the goals for which it was developed was confirmed. The validity measurement was based on the apparent validity of the tool, and its reliability was confirmed, as the reliability coefficient reached (0.86) using the (Alpha) method. The research reached a set of results, including the following:
- It was revealed through the total frequency and percentages that the degree of agreement of the sample members on the items in the field of effectiveness of teaching strategies in improving the classroom environment was low, as the highest percentage of agreement reached (39.2%), and the lowest percentage reached (31.2%).
- It became clear from the total frequency and percentages that the degree of agreement of the sample members on the paragraphs in the field of effectiveness of teaching strategies in managing the classroom in an appropriate manner was mostly low, as the highest percentage of agreement reached (42.4%), and the lowest percentage reached (30.8%).
- It was shown through the total frequency and percentages that the degree of agreement of the sample members on the items in the field of effectiveness of teaching strategies in student interaction within the classroom was low, as the highest percentage of agreement reached (41.2%), and the lowest percentage reached (29.6%).
- It became clear from the total frequency and percentages that the degree of agreement of the sample members on the items in the field of effectiveness of teaching strategies in raising the level of academic achievement was low, as the highest percentage reached (44.4%), and the lowest percentage (30.4%(.
- It was shown through the total frequency and percentages that the sample members’ agreement with the items in the field of effectiveness of teaching strategies in developing student thinking skills was low, as the highest percentage reached (40.4%), and the lowest percentage (25.6%).
