ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF THE CONTENT OF MATHEMATICS IV (GS204) FOR ENGINEERING FACULTIES IN LIGHT OF THE CONDITIONS OF A GOOD COURSE"

Abstract
Based on the fact that today's society is a constantly changing society, and the radical changes that have occurred require, above all else, a person who is aware of the dimensions of the thoughts, feelings, experiences, and events taking place around him. Based on the fact that mathematics is the pillar upon which all sciences, arts, and practical life are based in all its forms, which appear to be full of mathematical operations.
The researcher wants to point out here that these modern cultural educational concepts that express the requirements of the times and keep pace with the city and keep pace with its developments. This research studied the mathematics course Ordinary Differential Equations (GS204) because of the importance of the course in addressing a fundamental problem in issues of cognitive integration between academic courses and coordination between them, to provide conditions for a good
course.
Through the study, the researcher concluded that there is a clear deficiency in the lack of employing mathematics in the service of specialization for the scientific and engineering departments, this is due to the failure to take into account the logical sequence in the vocabulary of the mathematical subject between general education and higher education, and this is confirmed by the study schedules. Learning any subject requires prior learning of other concepts, which may also require previous education.
This makes us call for continuous evaluation of university curricula for the purpose of improvement and development and linking curricula with curricula for previous education (General Education) in order to apply the principle of integration so that the conditions for a good curricula are met to achieve its goals. This can only be done through a balanced philosophy of higher education whose primary goal is to form For that citizen who is able to adapt to those developments that occur from time to time in science, we must all pay attention to essential points, including:
1 Change from speech and indoctrination to research and investigation.
2 Change from teacher-centered to learning-centered approaches.
3 Interactive education in terms of:
- The professor is the facilitator.
- Students think, create genealogies and apply knowledge.
