Abstract

The current study aimed to reveal the repercussions of the digital divide on the mental health of parents and children in Arab society. This was achieved by reviewing the findings of previous studies that discussed the digital divide and its impact on mental health, as well as the effect of the negative use of the digital world in children's' lives, the recurring generational them. The study also examined the impact of addiction to electronic communication on mental health dimensions, clarifying its negative risks to children and attempting to find solutions to mitigate these effects. these solutions included increasing parents' awareness of educational guidelines, expanding educational understanding, and attempting to provide awareness programs and seminars for students in schools to reduce the reduce the effects of the digital divide on their mental health. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach to arrive at the study s results, the most important of which are: - A clear and direct inverse relationship exists between the digital divide and poor mental health among parents and children.
