Abstract

This study sheds light on the complex relationship between fossils and art throughout history, aiming to address the issue of "Fossils in Art: Analyzing Symbols of Ancient Life in Human Creativity." The research seeks to explore how artists interpret human experiences and perspectives on life and death through the use of expressive symbols, such as fossils remnants of ancient life that carry rich cultural and historical meanings.


The findings reveal a strong connection between the arts and cultural as well as religious beliefs, with fossils being employed to express concepts related to immortality and existential crises in 75% of fossil-inspired artworks.


The study also highlights the importance of collaboration between science and the arts, which contributes to mutual understanding and promotes environmental awareness.


It concludes with recommendations to enhance education and public arts, helping to raise awareness of the value of fossils as an integral part of humanity's cultural and natural heritage
