Aggressive Behavior and Video Game Play Among Kindergarten Children in Light of Some Variables "A Descriptive Comparative Study

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level and dimensions of aggressive behavior among kindergarten children from the perspective of mothers working as educators in public kindergartens in Benghazi. It also sought to examine differences based on variables such as gender, age, engagement in electronic games, type of device used, hours spent playing, and type of game. The sample consisted of 109 educators, and the study employed a comparative descriptive methodology using a questionnaire prepared by the researchers.The results indicated that the level of aggressive behavior among kindergarten children was moderate in the dimensions of physical aggression, aggression against property, and verbal aggression, while it was high in the dimension of hostility inclination. Additionally, the findings showed no statistically significant differences in the level of aggressive behavior among kindergarten children according to the study variables.The study recommended raising families’ awareness of the risks associated with violent electronic games and encouraging the selection of positive games that contribute to the development of creative thinking and the promotion of positive interaction, thereby supporting the balanced development of children
