"Psychological Review Strategies Achieved by Tourism in Children's Cognitive Skills an Objective Analysis of The Research Literature"
Main Article Content
Abstract
he aim of the research was to analyze the scientific literature addressing cognitive psychological counseling methods and their impact on developing metacognitive skills in children. The significance of the study stems from the vital role these skills play in supporting self-regulated learning, enhancing critical thinking, and fostering academic success during the early stages of development. The research sought to identify general trends in previous studies, categorize their methodologies, and highlight their strengths and limitations.
The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and included a sample of 20 scientific studies published between 2010 and 2025, focusing on children aged 4 to 12 years. Qualitative analysis tools were used, including a content analysis form, a critical review checklist, and comparative methodology tables. The study relied on thematic content analysis, comparative analysis, and gap analysis to extract shared indicators and uncover underexplored areas in the literature.
Findings revealed the effectiveness of cognitive psychological counseling—particularly models based on cognitive behavioral therapy—in enhancing self-regulation and reflective thinking in children. A positive correlation was also found between these methods and academic achievement, while cultural factors and individual differences were shown to significantly influence the effectiveness of interventions.
The study recommended the development of targeted counseling programs, equipping teachers with cognitive guidance skills, and conducting longitudinal and cross-cultural comparative studies.
