the Role of the Social Worker in Improving the Level of Academic Achievement among Secondary School Students from A special Point of View

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the role of social workers in improving the academic achievement of secondary school students from the teachers' point of view, the obstacles they face, and the professional performance of social workers in improving the academic achievement of secondary school students from the teachers' point of view. to identify suggestions that help improve the academic achievement of secondary school students from the teachers' point of view, and to identify statistically significant differences according to variables (gender, qualification, years of experience). The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The researcher also relied on a questionnaire as a research tool. The research community consisted of 179 secondary school teachers, and 80 questionnaires were distributed to secondary school teachers, representing 45% of the total number of teachers, who were selected using simple random sampling. Among the most important findings of the research are: there is a high level on the social worker role scale at a statistical significance level of 0.05; there is a high level at a statistical significance level of 0.05 in the obstacles faced by social workers in the research sample; in the professional performance of social workers in improving academic achievement and in the suggestions that help improve academic achievement in the research sample, and there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) in the social worker role scale according to the gender variable (male and female) in the research sample.
