Abstract

Strategic planning is one of the main pillars of modern educational administration. The need for its adoption is growing in light of the growing complexity of the educational environment and the challenges facing educational institutions in their pursuit of comprehensive quality. Based on this reality, this study examines the impact of school principals' implementation of strategic planning on the quality of school performance in basic education schools. The principal is the primary driver of the administrative and educational process within the school, and their effectiveness in implementing strategic planning is directly reflected in the efficiency and quality of performance.

The study sought to identify the nature of the relationship between strategic planning and performance quality by reviewing the theoretical literature and previous relevant studies, within the framework of an analytical desk study based on the descriptive approach. The results showed that strategic planning contributes to building a clear future vision for the school, improves the decision-making process, enhances staff participation, and reduces educational waste, which positively impacts the quality of educational services provided to learners
