Moral Anxiety and Its Relationship with Psychological Security among a Sample of Female Students at the Faculty of Education in Zawia

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the level of moral anxiety among a sample of female students at the Faculty of Education in Zawiya according to the level of each of its dimensions. It also aimed to examine their level of psychological security according to each dimension. The study also sought to find out the differences among the students in the level of moral anxiety and psychological security based on the research variables.

The research sample consisted of 160 female students from the Faculty of Education in Zawiya, from both scientific and humanistic specializations. The researcher followed the descriptive analytical method and used the Moral Anxiety Scale and the Psychological Security Scale prepared by her. The data were processed statistically using the SPSS program.

The results showed that the level of moral anxiety among the students was moderate. Similarly, their level of psychological security was also moderate. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of moral anxiety and psychological security among the students based on the research variables. Additionally, the results revealed a significant negative correlation between moral anxiety and psychological security among the students of the Faculty of Education.
