Abstract

The aim of this research was to explore the effectiveness of using the story strategy as an innovative teaching tool among kindergarten department students at the Faculty of Education – University of Zawiya, in light of the stage's need for attractive, interactive, and engaging teaching methods that develop the teaching and educational skills of students, as they are future kindergarten teachers. To achieve the research goals, the study relied on two integrated methods: the descriptive method, which helped build the theoretical framework and analyze literature and previous studies related to the story strategy, and the experimental method based on a quasi-experimental design with a single group, where the program prepared according to the story strategy was applied, and its effect was measured by comparing pre- and post-performance of the study sample. The study sample consisted of 20 fifth-year students from the kindergarten department, purposefully selected from the original population due to their suitability for the experience and their advanced qualifying stage that allows them to seriously engage with the proposed teaching program.

As for the study tool, it was a questionnaire specifically designed for this purpose and was applied both before and after on the research sample, aiming to measure the level of knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to using the story strategy in teaching, both before and after the students were exposed to the teaching program based on that strategy.
