Abstract

The research aims to know the impact of total quality management on sustainable development in the Libya Hatif Company in the city of Zawiya. The research was limited to the following dimensions: (commitment of senior management, continuous improvement, customers) without other dimensions, and to identify the level of application of the concept of total quality and which dimensions are more An impact on sustainable development and also knowing the correlation between the two variables in the company under study.


The research population is represented by the employees of the Libya Telephone Company. A comprehensive survey method was used and a questionnaire newspaper was used to collect data from the study population. The questionnaire list was subjected to statistical analysis, as well as the SPSS program, and the descriptive analytical approach was followed. These statistical analyzes showed a set of results, the most important of which were the following:


*The results showed that senior management does not care about applying the concept of total quality management, nor about training programs for quality management, nor about employees who have excellent ideas.


*The results also showed that there are no effective communication channels between departments and between the organization and customers, as well as the company’s employees.


*Also, the company cannot meet the needs and desires of customers, and there is an impact and connection between comprehensive quality management and sustainable development.


The research presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are the following:


*The necessity of senior management’s commitment to applying the concept of quality management, training programs, and paying attention to employees with good ideas.


*Working to enhance interest in constantly meeting the needs of customers and working to raise the capabilities of employees.


*Working to provide effective communication channels between departments, workers and customers to obtain sufficient information for sustainable development.
