The Impact of Transformational Leadership in Enhancing Organizational Readiness to Adopt Artificial Intelligence Technologies: A Field Study on Public Commercial Banks in Zawia City
Keywords:
Transformational Leadership, Organizational Readiness, Artificial Intelligence TechnologiesAbstract
This study aimed to explore the impact of transformational leadership practices across its four dimensions (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration) on enhancing organizational readiness to adopt artificial intelligence technologies in public commercial banks in the city of Zawia, while identifying the prominent field challenges hindering the trajectories of this digital transformation.
The study yielded a set of statistical results, most notably: a significant decline in the practice levels of all transformational leadership dimensions, accompanied by a clear decrease in the degrees of organizational and technical readiness required to assimilate and employ artificial intelligence applications, due to weak infrastructure and deficiencies in current technological skills. Despite this decline, the statistical analysis proved a statistically significant positive direct impact of transformational leadership on preparing the banking environment; as the "idealized influence" dimension accounted for (91.5%) of the variance in organizational readiness, while the "intellectual stimulation" dimension topped the indicators, recording the highest explanatory power at (94.4%), reflecting the critical importance of stimulating creative and innovative thinking in overcoming technical obstacles. Finally, the results demonstrated the absence of statistically significant differences among the respondents' perceptions regarding the study variables based on demographic characteristics (gender, job position, or educational level), which confirms the comprehensiveness of perception and the consistency of awareness regarding the nature of the leadership and technical challenges facing the examined banking sector.
