This study aimed to identify the level of technological literacy among principals of public education institutions (primary and secondary schools), and to study and analyze the impact of technological literacy in all its dimensions on improving the performance of these institutions. The study relied on a descriptive approach, using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Statistical processing was carried out using SPSS. The study population consisted of all (99) primary and secondary school principals in the central municipality of Zawia. The study sample consisted of the community as a whole, given its small size. The research results demonstrated that technological literacy in all its dimensions positively impacts the performance of primary and secondary education institutions. The study presented a set of recommendations, most notably: enhancing technological knowledge and skills, improving infrastructure, providing additional resources, and working to enhance social awareness about the responsible use of technology. Furthermore, periodic evaluations of institutional performance should be conducted and community participation encouraged to maximize the use of technology in education.
