University of Zawiya - Faculty of Arts Journal (UZFAJ) - A peer-reviewed, indexed scientific journal issued by the University of Zawiya, Libya, semi-annually (March-September) of each year. Its headquarters are in the city of Zawiya, Libya.

Research is published in Arabic, English, and French. The fields of publication include literature and languages ​​(Arabic, English, and French), arts and media, psychology, history and archaeology, Islamic studies, sociology, geography and tourism studies, social work, and libraries and information.

It has obtained the DOI and is now a member of the Crossref database. Membership allows the journal's content to be linked to a global network of online scientific research, which currently includes more than 17,000 organizational members from 140 countries.

It was established in 2001 under the name of the Faculty of Arts Journal and is issued quarterly (every three months, sometimes with two parts for each issue). It published scientific research in various humanities and applied disciplines (law, economics, environmental sciences, management and economics, and political science). The editorial board was chaired by a group of professors, the last of whom was Professor Dr. Al-Mukhtar Al-Afif until 2022 (issue thirty-seven). After that, the university president issued Decision No. 1096 on 12/7/2022 to change the presidency of the journal to a new one. From here, work was done in partnership with the University’s Center for Scientific Research and Consultations to update the university’s scientific journals system in line with the scientific publishing policy according to the latest updates, which include the journal’s specialization in publishing research related to the scientific field of the journal. From here, the journal became specialized in certain branches of science and not others. In 2023, the name was changed to Zawia University - Journal of the Faculty of Arts, and the old logo of the journal was changed to a new logo (shown on the platform’s website). Regarding the publication date, it became issued semi-annually (June and December). To update the journal’s policy according to the journals system Open to those who guarantee easy access policy for readers, the publication date has been changed to become semi-annual as well, for the months of March and September, especially after the journal obtained the digital identifier DOI, and this was in the twenty-fourth volume, the first issue of the year 2024.
